Clerk II
The City of Ashville is currently accepting applications for the position of Clerk II. This position entails varied and responsible administrative work. Its primary function is to ensure anyone having business at city hall is greeted and assisted in a friendly and professional manner. Responsibilities also include clerical support to the administrative department. prepare payables for payment and be responsible for the entire payment process, collection of payments for business licenses, permits, court and tax payments. The Clerk II position is responsible for payroll data entry, bi-weekly payroll processing and maintains various records required to support payroll. Other responsibilities include general administrative functions and complex clerical duties of the Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Adjustments and specialized administrative municipal judicial court work in the operation of municipal court. The Ashville Police Department is accepting applications for one(1) Full Time Police Officer. Applicants must be APOSTC certified or willing to attend the next available academy.
