The City of Ashville iscurrently accepting applications for the position of Clerk II.   This positionentails varied and responsible administrative work.  Its primary function is to ensure anyonehaving business at city hall is greeted and assisted in a friendly andprofessional manner. Responsibilities also include clerical support to theadministrative department. prepare payables for payment and be responsible forthe entire payment process, collection of payments for business licenses,permits, court and tax payments.  TheClerk II position is responsible for payroll data entry, bi-weekly payrollprocessing and maintains various records required to support payroll. Otherresponsibilities include general administrative functions and complex clericalduties of the Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Adjustments andspecialized administrative municipal judicial court work in the operation ofmunicipal court. The incumbent works under the general supervision of the CityClerk.
