Ashville Citizen of the Year 2015
Do you know someone who has worked tirelessly for the community and should be recognized for their hard work and dedication?
The Citizen of the Year Award is proudly presented by the Ashville City Council. The Award is to reward and recognize individuals that have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year, and/or given an outstanding service over a number of years, to the local community over and above normal situations. Outstanding contribution and community service includes areas such as: education, demonstrate outstanding leadership, health, fund-raising, charitable and voluntary services, social issues, business, sport, arts, act of courage, the environment, quality of life in our community or any other area that contributes to the advancement and wellbeing of our community.
The criteria for nomination are as follows:
Any adult (age 26 or older) living in the Ashville city limits who has made a significant and sustained contribution to the community.
The key word in this award is "Community". To nominate someone for this award please outline why you feel this person or group should be considered. The more information you can give us, the easier it will be for us to really appreciate the contribution they make and ensure that the award goes to the most appropriate person.
Nominations must be made before May 15, 2015 & can only be accepted on the specified form (Please call the City Hall at 205-594-4151 and the City Hall staff will be happy to help!).
