The City of Ashville iscurrently accepting applications for the position of Contract Park & Recreation Director.   The position is part time and it is a sixmonth contract with the opportunity to renew. The contract allows up to 50 hours per month and no benefits. The Parksand Recreation Director shall oversee the maintenance, upkeep and operations ofthe City’s parks and recreational properties along with providing generaloversight of the activities thereon.  Theemployee shall provide direction, planning, organization, and administrationfor the City’s recreational programs and advising the Council as to theon-going needs of the Department.  Theemployee is the head of the Parks and Recreation Department
